The Ultimate List of The Best Coffee Shops in Northwest Arkansas & Arkansas Coffee Roasters
It’s no secret that I love coffee, but before moving to Northwest Arkansas I had no idea that there was such a prominent coffee scene in this area. Most people might consider larger cities such as Seattle, Portland, or Miami. But Arkansas? Really? Well, I’m about to show you that these Northwest Arkansas coffee shops rank up to some of the best of the best with a number of accolades, swanky settings, and delicious flavors. Here are the best coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas!
Onyx Coffee Lab
Perhaps the most well-known of these coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas is Onyx Coffee Lab. Onyx Coffee Lab has multiple unique locations that serve up terrific coffee in an altering aesthetically pleasing environment.
One of my favorite things about Onyx Coffee Lab is its sustainability efforts from its ethically sourced coffee beans to the eco-friendly packaging. They even invite you to check in on their sustainability efforts by providing information regarding what they paid for their coffee, when and where they purchased it, and a number of other details.
I love all of their roasts but I especially enjoy trying the seasonal menu offerings. Their lavender latte, which is offered in the summer, is one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had. As far as location goes, the 1907 in Rogers is my favorite because it is absolutely stunning inside. However, the all-pink location inside The Momentary is a close second.
In addition, I’d like to add that Onyx Coffee Lab is not just well known around here, it is also well known across the country and has won a number of awards including being named one of the top 25 coffee roasters in America putting Arkansas coffee roasters on the map!
Locations: Bentonville, Rogers, & Fayetteville

Red Kite Coffee Shop
What was formerly the original Onyx Coffee Lab location, Red Kite Coffee recently took over but still serves up delicious Onyx Coffee. However, they have their own menu and coffee creations. The atmosphere at both Red Kite Coffee locations (Springdale and Fayetteville) is inviting, making it an easy place for remote work or for having coffee with a friend.
While you’re visiting, be sure to pick up a pastry to enjoy alongside your coffee too!
Location: 7058 W Sunset Ave #1A, Springdale // MAP
Hours: Sunday 8am-6pm, Monday-Saturday 7am-6pm
Arsaga’s
Oh, I could go on for days about Arsaga’s. I love all of their locations for not only their coffee but also their delicious menu. The Church & Center location has fancy toast, and before you eye roll me about paying for toast, it’s OTHERWORLDLY. Think mascarpone, ruby grapefruit, pink peppercorns, and honey.
On the flip side, Arsaga’s At The Depot has more hearty menu options alongside the lighter snack fare. I had one of the best vegan meals of my life there and I nearly cried when they took it off the menu (it rotates often). But let’s get back to coffee, shall we?
While they have the regular coffee menu, I personally want to recommend the cacao cloud which is cold brew coffee and cacao syrup topped with cold-frothed vanilla bean milk. Having “cloud” in the name isn’t far from the truth because it’s like you’re drinking one. A delicious one at that. If you aren’t feeling coffee I suggest trying the Hummingbird which is a sparkling lavender lemonade.

Hours: 6am-6pm daily
Trailside Coffee Company
Trailside Coffee Company is located in one of our favorite areas of Northwest Arkansas, downtown Springdale! I personally love the honey vanilla cinnamon latte, lavender honey matcha latte, or if you’re wanting to indulge a bit more, order an affogato which is espresso over ice cream! Downtown Springdale is one of my favorite areas to stop while on a bike ride too so you can easily get an afternoon pick-me-up at Trailside!
Location: 101 W Johnson Ave Suite A, Springdale // MAP
Hours: Sunday 9am-4pm, Monday-Saturday 7:30am-3pm
Puritan Coffee & Beer
Puritan Coffee & Beer is one of the most unique coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas because as the name suggests, it’s serving up coffee and local Arkansas craft beers, making this a great coffee shop for an early morning espresso, mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or after work happy hour.
The pour-over coffee is splendid but if you want something original to Puritan try the Chi Chi Rodriguez which is lemonade and coffee. I know, it doesn’t sound good, but just try it!
If you’re in the mood for a beer I suggest ordering the Hibiscus Hard Cider, the S’Morest Queen Stout, or the Ozark Lager.
Location: 205 W Dickson St, Fayetteville // MAP
Hours: 7:30am-11pm daily
Basecamp Coffee Company
Basecamp Coffee Company is so cozy on the inside you’ll never want to leave. I personally love any of their lattes, but a sidecar is a fun alternative that features a shot of espresso, a shot of Cortado, and some sparkling water for a palate cleanser. Another fun option is the Nitro Float which is their house nitro with two scoops of ice cream. In addition, I recently tried the Fireside Mocha which had a rich chocolate flavor with Mexican Chili syrup. They also sell their own homemade syrups including lavender, honey blossom, vanilla, and more.

Hours: Sunday 10am-7pm, Monday-Saturday 7am-7pm
Doomsday Coffee and Roasterie
Doomsday Coffee and Roasterie have a number of delicious lattes and ever-changing menu options. The horchata latte, vanilla rose latte, or caramel chai are delicious, just to name a few. Doomsday Coffee also serves up breakfast and lunch items including crustless quiche, smoked brisket tacos, and a number of vegan and vegetarian options too!
One amazing fact about Doomsday Coffee and Roasterie is that they work directly with nonprofits that assist veterans with PTSD and TBI. For every whole bean coffee they sell, they donate $1.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-7pm
Bolder Coffee
Bolder Coffee is another small coffee shop in Northwest Arkansas but they have terrific lattes and a number of tea and smoothie options as well, making it a perfect stop for those who might want something a little different. One of my favorites from Bolder Coffee is the Dirty Diana, which is a spiced chai latte with an espresso shot.

Hours: 6am-7pm daily
Joyhouse Coffee Co.
Joyhouse Coffee Co. has terrific coffee and is also a great breakfast or lunch spot, their kolaches are super popular! I personally love the butterscotch latte.
If you’re into trivia, then you’ll definitely want to stop by for their Friday night trivia nights that have themed drinks to accompany the trivia theme!
As far as the origin of their coffee goes, they partner with coffee producers in Haiti and employ workers in sustainable jobs. After packaging, Joyhouse Coffee Co. purchases at or above fair trade and returns 50% of profits to Haiti directly benefiting organizations that provide sustainable jobs, shelter, education, medical care, and more.

Hours: 7am-5pm daily, closed Sundays
Kennedy Coffee Roasting Company
One of the first coffee shops I visited when I moved to Northwest Arkansas was Kennedy Coffee Roasting Company. Since then I’ve been back a few more times because I find it’s a nice place to work, meet up with friends, and is also a great spot to stop on one of my bike rides in Bentonville. I really like the Velvet Elvis (caramel and white chocolate) and the Iced Milky Way (caramel and mocha). Another fun menu item at Kennedy Coffee is locally made kombucha from JR’s Kombucha!
Location: 2501 SE 14th St, Bentonville // MAP
Hours: Sunday 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday 6:30am-8pm, Saturday 7am-8pm
Heroes Coffee
Heroes Coffee has some of the most fun flavored lattes including rose & pistachio and cardamom. I really have enjoyed all of them, although I do find them a bit sweet like a dessert. In addition to coffee, they also have smoothies and a variety of hot teas to choose from.
My only complaint about Heroes is that their seating has multiple accessibility issues. Initially, I thought the design of the tables is clever and cool, but on more reflection, it does bring forth issues of accessibility for patrons and I wish the design had been more mindful. Just something to consider if you are planning to work here or visit.
Location: 124 SW 8th St, Bentonville // MAP (Additional location in Rogers)
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-7pm, Saturday 7am-7pm, Closed Sundays
Airship Coffee
Airship Coffee is one of my recent favorite coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas and also an Arkansas coffee roaster. I especially swoon over their open-air location at the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve where you can swing by for a break from biking or enjoy some coffee on the go. I personally like the honey bliss latte for a more classic choice or if you have the chance to have a winter seasonal drink try the lumberjack latte which has maple syrup, vanilla bitters, espresso, and is topped with smoked salt.
Location: 1000 SE 5th St, Bentonville (original location) // MAP
Hours: 7am-7pm daily
7Brew
Coffee people will probably come at me for putting 7Brew on the list, and while I agree it isn’t like an “actual coffee shop” it’s REALLY popular around here. I personally find their coffee drinks a bit sweet, but I did like the smooth 7 which has Irish cream, white chocolate, and espresso.
7Brew also has a number of other drinks including fruit smoothies, red bull drinks, ice teas, and my personal favorite, Italian sodas with cream. If you like lavender I suggest giving that flavor a try otherwise raspberry is another favorite of mine!

The Meteor Cafe
If you spend any amount of time in Northwest Arkansas you’ll quickly catch on that the entire area caters a lot to cyclists, you’re bound to find bike racks everywhere and even many of the coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas have bike shops inside too. The Meteor Cafe is one of those and it is such a cool addition to Northwest Arkansas!
Of course, The Meteor Cafe has coffee, which I’ll get to in just a moment, but they also have a full menu of pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more if you want to grab something more than a pastry which is what most coffee shops offer. They also offer a variety of beer and wines that you can enjoy with your food, or by itself.
For coffee, I could go on and on about their nitro cold brew. It’s frothy, bold, and delicious. But if you want something hot definitely get a pour-over coffee.

Confident Coffee Roasters
One of the newer coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas is Confident Coffee. They have a great indoor space and offer a selection of different roasts that are sourced by direct trade relationships. The confident latte is my personal favorite of the drinks I’ve tried. It has flavors of vanilla and ginger. One unique menu item they offer is tea frosts which are like a frappe but instead of coffee they use tea.

Old Pine Coffee Roasters
Old Pine Coffee Roasters has a great patio and is located really close to the Razorback Regional Greenway which means, yep you guessed it, it’s another bikeable coffee shop to visit in Northwest Arkansas! They have a number of signature lattes but the iced canela which is flavored with vanilla, honey, and cinnamon is my favorite so far. Although the inside has ample seating, they also have a great outdoor space which is nice for getting some fresh air on a mild weather day.

Java Dudes
One of my friends recommended Java Dudes and it took me a while to get to them but when I finally did, I was impressed. They have a great indoor and outdoor space as well as a variety of small bites, breakfast, and lunch items. The Hawaiian Dude is a fun new flavor with coconut and caramel or their cold brew is great for a hot summer day. For a break from coffee try an iced Lavender Fog which is basically a London Fog, but flavored with lavender simple syrup. It’s delicious!

Six Twelve Coffeehouse & Bar
For those looking for a late-night spot, Six Twelve Coffeehouse & Bar is a great place to visit. They have a variety of menu items like wings, pizza, spinach and artichoke dip, plus comfy couches, local artwork, beer, cocktails, and of course coffee. The newer salted caramel latte is a great treat! Be sure to check out their Instagram to find upcoming events like live music, stand-up comedy, and even salsa dancing which usually takes place after 6pm. If you want to support a variety of local entrepreneurs and businesses, Six Twelve is the place.

Located in downtown Rogers, Iron Horse Coffee Company is the perfect location for breakfast or lunch and a cup of coffee! I love the setting of this coffee shop with its cozy upstairs area perfect for studying or working. They have a number of different coffee choices including frozen coffee and tea beverages. I also really enjoy their Italian sodas.
Location: 220 S 1st St, Rogers // MAP
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-7pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-7pm
Magnolia Coffee
I’ve only visited Magnolia Coffee once but the time I did go really enjoyed it! They have all the basic staples like cappuccino, americano, and white mocha. But they also have flavor syrups you can add to any coffee too. Toasted marshmallow is a great addition to the white mocha, just sayin’. If you happen to get there early be sure to ask what selection of Fat Rolls pastries they have because those are not to be missed either!
